Halewick Lane

Green Frog Connect are working with West Sussex County Council to construct a new battery storage site on council-owned land at Halewick Lane, Sompting. Storage sites such as these are key to the County Council’s energy strategy and an important part of integrating more renewable energy generators into our supply.

In order to connect the site to the electricity grid, Green Frog Connect is installing a new 33kV cable from the north end of Halewick Lane to the electricity substation in East Worthing. The confirmed works so far will take place along Halewick, West Street and Busticle Lane.

Until May 2022, trenching and cabling will take place on Halewick Lane, West Street and Busticle Lane. There will be traffic control measures, including temporary traffic lights, on these roads during this time. Please see the maps below showing where and when we will be working.
