Green Frog Connect Limited were proud to be awarded the contract to deliver the 132kv ICP grid connection for METKA EGN. The POC connection from UKPN Ilmer substation connects to a 49.98MWp DC capacity solar farm. The connection was adopted by UK Power Networks.

How did Green Frog Connect help?
DNO design submission for the 132kv contestable design works.
132kv construction of 1.5km grid cable route, from UKPN Ilmer GSP substation to customers point of supply substation.
Construction of UKPN and customers substation compounds.
DNO protection and control panels and battery charger systems.
Earthing soil resistivity, design, and earthing installation.
Site earthing.
Design, civil construction, electrical integration and all BOP for the EPC works on site.
Major Design Considerations of the Scheme
The overall scheme was constructed, completed and handed over within the timescales of our contract programme, this despite several delays to the project, not within our control.
Green Frog Connect was appointed as ICP for all works on site.
The solar site construction improvement works, provided five improved grassland fields for sheep grazing as well as additionally providing improved habitats for great crested newts, hare, toads, hedgehog and improved grassland for ground nesting birds.
