Electric vehicle (EV)

“The UK electric vehicle (EV) charging market is at a crossroads, with multiple businesses offering diverse charging solutions and many new entrants to the market. Strategic challenges lie ahead for energy providers as the electric vehicle revolution continues to gather pace.”

Richard Shearer, Managing Director

The UK Government’s ambition is to end the sale of petrol and diesel cars by 2030. Recent research suggests the UK will need 28,000 more public charge points for the estimated seven million EV’s that will be on the road by 2030. With battery life and performance measures improving, adoption rates are increasing and alongside this needs to come a convenient and affordable charging infrastructure.

With an increasing number of EV drivers requiring publicly accessible charge points to top up or recharge, the roll out of an EV charging infrastructure needs to be strategic and planned. Approximately one third of UK households cannot install a home charge point due to not having a driveway or garage; ultimately this will be a limit on adoption. We can help charge point operators (CPOs) when it comes to installing large-scale EV charging infrastructure.

We will install nationwide, working on all scales: From Low Voltage (LV) connections for EV chargers at the workplace, supermarkets, bus or fleet Infrastructure or leisure chains through to High Voltage substations for rapid chargers and supercharging stations.

The Green Frog Connect process

Process step 1: Initial consultation

1. Following an initial consultation, clients send through a site layout and any existing grid connection offer.

Process step 2: Quotation

2. We will review within an appropriate and agreed timescale and issue a site specific quotation for services requested; our quotation can either be a simple budget quote, or we can include some high level design work if more detail is required at this stage.

Process step 3: Contracts signed

3. Once you have reviewed and accepted our quotation, we’ll sign contracts before commencing any work.

Process step 4: Design and construction

4. We’ll proceed with design and subsequent construction works in line with the project programme agreed.

Process step 5: Project completed

5. Once the project is completed and commissioned, we’ll hand it over to you to run.

Process step 6: Operations and maintenance

6. We can assist with O&M services through the project lifecycle and even with decommissioning once your site is no longer required.
